Perpetual Adoration began at St. Paul Parish on Thursday, May 13, 1999. Some of our current adorers have been with this ministry from the beginning. They come from area churches, such as St. Mary, St. Anthony, St. Joseph, and St. Alphonsus, in addition to St. Paul, and from towns as far away as Wellington.
Originally, Adoration was from 6:00 pm on Sunday to midnight on Friday. However, early in the Covid19 pandemic (2020), the Adoration Chapel was closed. The chapel reopened in April, 2021, for scheduled adorers only. On June 6, 2021, when the pandemic restrictions were lifted, the Chapel was opened to all who wish to pray with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. Our chapel is located in the Parish Center entrance.
People are needed to commit to specific one-hour periods during the open hours throughout the week to ensure the Blessed Sacrament is always accompanied.
If you think you can't do this every week, you can team up with other family members or with a friend to share the hour. Each of you would only need to be there one or two times per month. Or, maybe you would like to be a substitute. We need many more substitutes to fill in for vacations and sickness, and you wouldn't need to be there every week.
Imagine the comfort and support you will experience from being in Jesus' presence for one hour each week. Here you have the One who can truly help you, available to you face-to-face! Jesus is truly present in the Chapel, and He longs to have you spend some time with Him.
